Cody Man

Well, I've fallen a little behind on my blogging of late, and I do have some new pictures to post. Jordan has started her first soccer season, as well as learned to ride her bike without training wheels! Maddie is now going to swimming lessons twice a week, as well as her Wednesday dance class. Hopefully soon I will find some time to post those new pictures.

Today, though, I just wanted to give a brief update on Cody. As some of you may already know, he has struggled since last fall with chronic digestive problems. We thought we had figured out the problem to be a combination of some food allergies and a lactose intolerance. However, after eliminating these items from his diet, he is still struggling with recurring issues. Yesterday I took him back to the doctor to have him evaluated, only to find out that he has not gained any weight in several months, and has fallen from the 95th percentile (at birth) to the 3rd as of now. They diagnosed him as "failure to thrive" (which did not make me happy at all, because his problems are physical ONLY) and referred him to a pediatric gastric specialist in Albuquerque. We managed to get the appointment moved up, and will be taking him down there for the initial visit tomorrow (March 20.)

I just wanted to keep everyone posted, and also to ask that you keep our little Cody Man in your thoughts and prayers. We are hoping for something simple and easily remedied, such as a different food allergy or sensitivity, but it could be something much more severe or involved. I will keep posting updates as I get them!

I cannot believe that with ALL the pictures of my kids that I have on my computer, THIS is what ended up here! Oh, well, such is life. Anyway, this is just a picture of my gigantic, big, fat, and pregnant belly in the fall of '07. Cody was born shortly thereafter!
